Our next litter is of Cuillin X Cody,
The pups are expected around April 6.

For Cody this will be her second litter.
Cuillin as well as Cody come from excellent Border Collie lines and both have a friendly and open charater.
Cuillin is the real man within the flock, but has not lost his enthousiasm as a youngster.
Cody developed herself to a real lady, not letting herself pushed away by other dogs but on the other hand likes to be cuddled all the time when in the house.

Wij expect from this combination, black tri colour pups with a friendly open character.
Being occupied with agility, scheepherding, flyball or frisbee are just some of the activities that the pups will enjoy together with the new owner.

A Border Collie is not just a dog, so might you be interested in a pup from us
please read the below as well.

How do we operate

How do we operate
We work with a reservation list.
In case you decide to take a Border collie from our kennel in your home and we are also convinced you will be a good owner, than we put you on the list.
At that same moment you can make your preference known for a dog or a bitch. When this is not important to you, no problem, you will get on the list as well.

We breed according the rules and regulations of the FCI and and BCCN (Dutch Border Collie Club). Besides the mandatory FCI eye and hip tests and the mandatory BCCN exterior and talent test, we've had both parents tested for hereditary diseases by means of DNA tests.

When the pups leave our kennel, they will have a NHSB pedegree, been chipped, vaccinated and treated against worms and supplied with an European animalpassport.
The pups will grow up in a home environment with other dogs around, so they get used to the daily activities and sounds of a household.

We intend to stay a small kennel focussing on further improvement of the breed.
Our focus lies especially with the working sheepdog, because we consider dogs from this line with their high intelligence and natural movement to be most closest to the original Border Collie.
We hope that future "Purple Mountains" offspring will find their way in herding, agility, fly ball or any other dog sport.

We try to achieve this by breeding in a responsible manner and have therefore decided that our stud Cuillin will only be available to selected ladies.
Our efforts will hopefully contribute to a strong and healhty breed of Border Collies.

Buying a pup
When you've decided that you want a Border Collie pup, first study this breed.
Try to meet other Border Collie owners and try to stay objective.
Take you're time to find a pup.
Visit with the breeders you think are suitable. This is a good way to get aquanted with the dogs and to see how they live. ask anything you like to know.
A good breeder will also ask you many things.

We will ask you also many things to make sure that our pups will go to a good home.
Why your choise for a Border Collie, your living conditions, what is your intention with the dog.
A reliable breeder does feel responsible for where his pups will live in the future.

There should be no objection when you ask for the pedigree of both parent dogs and or any medical tests have been done.
The hip as well as the eye test must have taken place on both parents.
Allowable hip results are: HD-A, HD-B, HD NEGATIEF or HD-TC. The eyetest result needs to be "free".
Ask for any other possible problems in the pedigree lines. A good and responsible breeder will also apply DNA tests on his dogs to discover any hereditary diseases.

Keep in mind that the Border Collie needs exercise, is very intelligent, and can put you to new challenges any time.
A homedog a Border Collie cannot be, they will get bored and will look for challenges indoors, which often leads to destructive behavior.

Its a absolute must, to keep these dogs busy.
For example a puppycursus, agility, flyball, sheep herding trials, and many more possibilities.
Stimulate and motivate, be consistent, than the Border Collie will be gentle at home and active outdoors.
"The Border Collie is absolutely a dog for a active owner."
